Puzzle Day by Castorland 2019: Tricks to put together the pieces in no time

We spend hours on watching TV or browsing the Internet, interacting less and less with each other face to face. We are increasingly attached to screens and more and more indifferent to the things that make us really feel alive!

Why don’t we get out of this mechanized system called "routine" from time to time and engage in fun games, socialize, spend time away from gadgets? We can build new friendships, develop and have a good time with friends and family.

Puzzle Day by Castorland 2019 – the high-speed puzzle assembly championship, which is due on 24 March in Chisinau, offers a great occasion for escaping this burden of monotony and relish a sunny Sunday in springtime!

If you have already registered or intend to do so, here are some tricks that will help you do better and assemble the pieces as quickly as possible. Of course, each puzzle requires an individual assembly approach, however, there are some universal (and, most importantly, effective) strategies that work each time:

1. Searching for and assembling straight edge parts. Once you assemble the puzzle frame, the space will be limited, making it easier for you to move on to the next step.

2. Although initially it would seem a boring task, turning all the elements face-up will greatly simplify the process of assembly, as you will be able to easier choose the shapes and colours you need.

3. Sort the pieces by color. This step may not work for all types of puzzles, but it can often make work much easier!

4. Put away parts that contain more special details, such as: colors that do not repeat on other parts, special shape or inscriptions. Isolate these pieces from the rest, and you will find them much easier when you need them.

5. Do not try to assemble the whole puzzle at once: it is much more efficient to divide it into small portions. Seeing immediate progress, you will become more motivated to continue.

6. Place the assembled portions in close proximity to one another, even if they are not yet built together. Viewing them entirely will make it easier to search for the missing items.

As a reminder, the Puzzle Day by Castorland 2019 championship is due on 24 March at Tekwill center. Anyone who likes doing puzzle games is invited to take part. The only condition is joining in teams of 2 to 4 people. To register and find out the details about the event, please visit puzzleday.md.
