How to correctly do a puzzle: expert tips

In addition, it may be fun assembling puzzles on the floor, though very tedious. In an hour, you’ll start feeling a backache, which will distract you from the puzzle. The details can simply get lost. The experts advise you to start assembling the picture on the table, laying out the pieces on a sheet of cardboard or on a special rug. By the way, you can roll the rug with the unfinished puzzle on it. And admit it, this saves space in your flat.

Besides, it is also very important to assemble the puzzle in natural light, because the eyes get quickly tired of electric light, which is not very good. The ideal option is doing puzzles in the daytime. But in case it happens in the evening, as you spend your time with friends or family, choose the light in a way to favor your eyes.

Secondly, the frame became the immutable rule of assembling puzzles. That is, it’s necessary to start doing a puzzle from the edges, forming a border. Thanks to these actions you can quickly orient in the size of the picture. One of the tips says that you should put aside the frame details as early as the preparation stage.

Many assembling experts agree that you need to sort the details by colors. If the picture is quite simple, for example, a ship or a castle, sorting the pieces by color will make the assembly much easier. Thus, by separating all the blue pieces, you will know that it is the "sky", the green ones are the "sea" and the white ones are the "ship". For the castle puzzle, the green pieces will make the "wood", the blue ones – the "sky", the gray ones – the "walls".

Also, many advise selecting details of regular and irregular shape. In their opinion, this makes it easier to put the picture together.

From these tips, you can make out two types of assembling techniques: by shape and by color. But these are ideal options, which don’t make much sense when used as independent strategies. Practice shows that in order to collect a picture quickly and qualitatively, you need to combine both techniques.

Of course, these tips are more suitable for those who want to quickly assemble a large puzzle. Those who have plenty of time can do as they want: piece by piece, according to the mood. Remember the main thing, puzzle assembly is a leisure time activity. So, please, do the puzzle for your own pleasure!
